GoH Elizabeth Bear

Finncon Guest of Honour Elizabeth Bear is an American writer with Swedish-Ukrainian roots. She has been awarded several times (f.ex. Locus Award, John W. Campbell Award, Hugo award). She is widely involved in the field, organizes writinf workshops and has teached at the Clarion West Writers workshop. She is one of the crew of the Hugo winning SF Squeecast podcast. She is an excellent speaker and performer. Her texts have interesting themes, including gender, sexuality and identity.
